Grand Valley President Philomena V. Mantella will address incoming students during a virtual Convocation ceremony Friday, August 28.
Convocation is a celebration that marks the beginning of the academic year. It will be streamed beginning at 11 a.m. from the Allendale Campus. The ceremony will last approximately 25 minutes.
Other Convocation speakers will include Provost Maria Cimitile, University Academic Senate Chair Felix Ngassa and Student Senate Vice President for Educational Affairs Autumn Mueller.
All students, faculty and staff members are invited to watch the Convocation ceremony. It can be viewed on the university's YouTube channel.
