Virus Action Team update: Closing the vaccination information gap
The number of COVID cases on GVSU campuses remains low. The GVSU Data Dashboard also shows 87 percent of faculty and staff are partially or fully vaccinated, and 67 percent, or two-thirds, of students are partially or fully vaccinated. These numbers continue to climb! Thank you for following our health and safety plan.
As the September 30 vaccination requirement deadline draws near, we want to close the information gap. There are approximately 4,000 members of the GVSU community who have not yet logged in to their online self-assessment to indicate their vaccination status. Please do this today, whether vaccinated or not, and remember to continue to fill out the online self-assessment each day you are on campus.
Important Reminders:
- The deadline for the COVID vaccine requirement is September 30. Upload verification in your online self-assessment as soon as possible.
- The deadline to file for an exemption or postponement is September 15.
- All members of the GVSU community must fill out the online self-assessment each day you are on campus.
- Face coverings that cover the mouth and nose are required in all indoor spaces for students, faculty, staff and visitors. See the full policy for limited exceptions. The need to mask is based on our new university alert level system.
