Grand Valley’s Spring/Summer semester is underway as are plans to offer a robust Fall 2021 semester.

The best avenue toward a new “normal” campus environment, with more in-person classes and experiences, is getting as many campus community members vaccinated as possible.

To reach that point, help from the entire Laker community is needed.

All Lakers are strongly encouraged to schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment as soon as possible. See links to available resources at bottom.

Several additional questions have been added to the daily self-assessment about your plans to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

Even if you are not on campus for the Spring/Summer semester, all students, faculty and staff members need to complete the assessment with their vaccination plan before May 20. This will take only one minute to complete. If you have already reported a vaccination, no further action is required.

Did you know ...

  • People who are fully vaccinated can skip quarantine and continue normal activities following an exposure as long as they do not develop symptoms.
  • When more Lakers are vaccinated, we can revisit face covering and social distancing policies.

To date, nearly 6,800 students, faculty and staff members have reported at least one vaccination dose, and about 5,800 of those people are completely vaccinated. More than two-thirds of faculty and staff members are completely vaccinated.

These numbers are continually updated in the Data Dashboard on the Lakers Together website.
