Grand Valley has a shot at its seventh national championship since 2009 when it faces Saint Rose at 2 p.m. December 11 in the Division II title game.

The Grand Valley women’s soccer team will face Saint Rose for the Division II national championship at 2 p.m. December 11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The No. 1-ranked Lakers are aiming for their seventh national championship since 2009 after defeating Lenoir-Rhyne, 3-0, in the national semifinals December 9 in Colorado Springs.

The game will be broadcast live online on the NCAA website.

The Lakers enter the game as the defending national champions after winning the 2019 title. The 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Grand Valley and Saint Rose (Albany, N.Y.) met during the 2019 national semifinals which the Lakers won, 3-2, on their way to the national championship. 

This is the second time these teams have met in the national championship game. Saint Rose beat the Lakers for the 2011 title.
