A new interactive, exhibition-style showcase will celebrate faculty, staff and student work that builds upon Grand Valley’s Reach Higher 2025 strategic plan commitments.

The inaugural Reach Higher Showcase will take place Friday, April 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Richard M. DeVos Center Plaza on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to submit their interest in displaying, demonstrating or showcasing their work at the showcase by February 24.

Works selected will highlight how they build upon one or more of Reach Higher commitments of an empowered educational experience, a lifetime of learning and a culture of educational equity,

President Philomena V. Mantella said the free, multi-disciplinary exhibition may include interactive demonstrations, poster presentations, multimedia, one-on-one interaction, performances and other creative means of showcasing innovative work.

“This first showcase will be a fun opportunity for the campus and West Michigan communities to truly experience what we mean when we say this university enriches society through excellent teaching, active scholarship, advancement of equity and public service,” Mantella said. “Empowered learning, innovative research, entrepreneurial ideas, community outreach and other work at Grand Valley improves our campus and builds a stronger Michigan economy.”

Selected projects will be matched with exhibition space in March.
