GVSU fosters voter engagement ahead of Michigan primary
With the Michigan primary approaching on February 27, Grand Valley’s Office of Student Life is working hard to ensure the campus community is prepared to participate.
“Our goal is to provide good, accurate information and help students think through what their options are,” said Melissa Baker-Boosamra, associate director of student life for civic engagement & assessment.
GVSU has received national recognition for its commitment to voter engagement and was named a GOLD campus for excellence in student voter engagement by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge during the 2020 presidential election. The university’s dedication is also seen through President Philomena V. Mantella’s signature on the ALL IN Presidential Commitment to Full Student Voter Participation .
