Capt. Brandon DeHaan has been named director of public safety and chief of police at Grand Valley State University. DeHaan had been serving as acting director and chief since October 13, 2017; the promotion is effective immediately.

GVSU to test alert system Nov. 3

Grand Valley will be testing the GVSUAlert! system Friday, November 3, at noon. The test will include the outdoor tornado siren system and the outdoor public address system on the Allendale Campus. All Grand Valley students, faculty and staff members will receive a test message by email; those who signed up for text and phone notifications will also receive the test message via those methods.
