A new event created by the Women's Center invited young students to Grand Valley April 15 for a day of storytelling and discussion. The Girls of Color Summit included 45 middle and high school students from West Michigan.

Human trafficking survivor to give presentation
A human rights activist who is a survivor of human trafficking and domestic violence will give a keynote presentation April 21 during Sexual Assault Awareness Month at Grand Valley. Brooke Axtell's presentation, "Sexual Consent and Healthy Relationships," will take place from 11 a.m.-noon in the Kirkhof Center, room 2204.
