Bushs Domestic Policies

Dr. Andrew Busch’s paper was excerpted by Austin Knuppe in the second panel of the Hauenstein Center’s conference, “George W. Bush: Legacy & Lessons.” The panel explored “The Bush Administration: Process & Policies,” and Busch’s paper focused on “The Domestic Policy Agenda.”

Dr. Andrew Busch is a professor in the government department at Claremont McKenna College, where he is also the associate dean of faculty. He's author of eight books, including most recently, “Reagan’s Victory: The Presidential Election of 1980 and the Rise of the Right” (University Press of Kansas, 2005). In 2007, Dr. Busch received a Fulbright Teaching Fellowship for the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine. Prior to his career at Claremont McKenna College, Dr. Busch held teaching positions at the University of Denver and University of Virginia. While at the University of Denver, he received the Teacher-Scholar of the Year Award. Dr. Busch received a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.A. and Ph.D. in government from the University of Virginia.
