Faculty & Staff Group Fitness

Join GV faculty and staff this summer for group fitness classes including 3-2-1 Fitness, Cardio Dance, Global Jam, and Restorative Yoga. Classes are offered weekly from July 15 - August 22 at $35 per 6-week class. Strengthen your core, work up a sweat dancing, explore different cultures, and clear your mind with group fitness.


3-2-1 Fitness

Join our 3-2-1 Fitness Class for an efficient, high-energy workout that combines 3 minutes of strength training, 2 minutes of cardio, and 1 minute of ab exercises in each cycle. This dynamic format targets all major muscle groups, boosts cardiovascular fitness, and strengthens your core, ensuring a well-rounded and invigorating session. Perfect for all fitness levels, our class provides modifications to suit your needs. Get ready to sweat, tone, and transform in just a short amount of time! Please bring in a set of medium dumbbells to use for this class.

Cardio Dance w/ Mr. Torrey

Cardio Dance w/ Mr. Torrey is a high-energy fitness class that combines traditional aerobic moves with the rhythm of popular songs. Participants can expect to dance to various music genres like, pop, rock, country, hip-hop, and house. This class is designed for individuals of all fitness levels, offering modifications and inclusive moves to accommodate everyone. No prior dance experience is necessary to join this fun and engaging workout session.

Global Jam

Explore different cultures from around the world! In Global Jam Dance Class you can experience a weekly rotation of dynamic and vibrating musical rhythms while learning awesome footwork and energetic movement from different regions around the world. Laura’s desire is to share the similarities between different cultures, while learning and honoring their differences. Students learn choreographic inserts from dance styles like: Bollywood, Salsa, Khaleeji, Azonto, Kizomba, American-Jazz, African Diaspora Dances and lots more.

Restorative Yoga

Life can be challenging, right? Restorative Yoga is a magnificent practice that will help you get grounded, regulate stress and achieve well-deserved relaxation. During a Restorative Yoga session you will go over a series of deliciously slow-paced asana flow that nurtures the body with passive and gentle engagement of muscle groups, accompanied by soothing pranayama (breath practice) to calm the mind. Perfect for the end of the day.

Laura encourages students to embrace Restorative Yoga as a tool to achieve a sense of wholeness, finding love, kindness and compassion towards oneself.
