Description

Corissa Pitman works with the Center on Youth Voice, Youth Choice (CYVYC) as a Supported Decision-Making Youth Ambassador. In this presentation, Corissa will share their work and expertise in increasing advocacy skills and helping others achieve their dreams for their adult lives. They will speak on the importance of autonomy for young adults with disabilities and include information geared toward school personnel on supporting decision-making for their students of all abilities.

Learning Outcomes - Participants will be able to:

  • Identify key concepts and ideas from the presentation.
  • Name specific connections from the presentation content to their current role.
  • Pose questions and wonderings based on the presentation content.
