Reported Biased Incidents Summary

Winter Semester 2011

 

There were ten (10) biased incidents reported to the Dean of Students Office during the winter semester 2011. All incidents occurred on the Allendale campus with 3 reported in housing areas, 6 reported in academic buildings, and 1 reported on a walkway on campus. Reports included 4 incidents regarding sexual orientation, 2 incidents regarding race, 1 incident regarding gender, and 3 incidents regarding ethnicity. Five incidents involved anonymous written comments and five incidents involved comments made by individuals. All reported incidents were investigated and appropriate follow-up actions were taken and support was provided to victim(s) and/or the reporting individual.
