Description

Who is the Báb?

  • The Báb is a title which translates to the "Gate" in Arabic and is used for the herald of the Bahá'í faith who was born Siyyid 'Ali-Muhammad in 1819 in what was then Shiraz, Persia, now Iran.
  • The Báb’s mission was to awaken the people to the fact that a new period in human history had begun.
  • He is considered to have paved the way for the incarnation of Bahá’u’lláh, the founder.
