ISCI Gets New Secondary Major Approved
May 01, 2018
The new ISCI Secondary Major allows students to pursue ISCI Secondary Certification for teaching science in grades 6-12 without initial certification in a teachable science major and minor. GVSU students can declare the new comprehensive major at any time, beginning in the freshman year. ISCI Secondary Certification gives students a competitive edge in the job market, as it qualifies them to teach any middle school and high school science courses in the State of Michigan. ISCI Secondary Major curriculum provides a breadth and depth of content in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science and Physics, as well as instruction in science teaching methods.
