GVSU IT's eLearning Team Earns Catalyst Award from Anthology (Blackboard)
July 22, 2024
GVSU IT's eLearning Team was recently awarded the Catalyst Award by
Anthology, the university's partner in the recent implementation of
the Blackboard (Bb) Ultra Learning Management System (LMS). As a
Leading Change category winner, the eLearning team was recognized for
their dedication to implementing Ultra in innovative and comprehensive
ways, successfully driving this change across the entire campus.
The Blackboard Ultra migration at GVSU has become a model for
institutions nationwide, serving as a guideline for those considering
a transition to this platform.
The eLearning Team received this award during the Anthology Together
conference held from July 15-17 in Orlando, Florida.
"Our team is honored and delighted to have received the Catalyst
Award, especially in the category of Leading Change. While our goal
was always primarily to successfully transition GVSU to a more
innovative, intuitive platform for teaching and learning, it has been
rewarding to share best practices and strategies for success with
other institutions undergoing similar transitions," shared Kim
Kenward, Director of eLearning Technologies. "This team fully
deserves the recognition they've received for their outstanding work
and commitment to the project's success."
In addition to the team's direct consultations with institutions, they have developed a comprehensive transition website featuring Ultra resources designed by eLearning and collected from other Michigan institutions, now utilized globally.
