KCON named a top nursing school in Michigan
October 29, 2021
Grand Valley State University’s Kirkhof College of Nursing has been named one of the top 3 accredited nursing schools in Michigan by nursingprocess.org.
NursingProcess.org provides nursing education information for prospective students based on state-wide data. The rankings are based on NursingProcess.org’s ranking methodology, which analyzed 72 Michigan nursing schools to discover the 10 best schools for nursing undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Nursingprocess.org noted the popularity of GVSU’s nursing program along with the new holistic undergraduate admissions process, explaining that they feel it places “more of an emphasis on the types of high-quality interpersonal skills that translate more readily into compassion and the ability to care for diverse populations.”
The Daniel and Pamella DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health, which opened in summer 2021, is the new home of the Kirkhof College of Nursing and boasts a state-of-the-art simulation center that provides nursing students with new hands-on learning opportunities.
