Visiting
- Steelcase Library is in Building A of the DeVos Center on the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus, adjacent to the carillon (bell/clock) tower.
- Study spaces are available whenever the library is open.
- The Collaboration Zone is open whenever Building A is open.
Parking
- Parking is available in the Seward Lot with access from Fulton Street. Additional parking is available in the Watson Lot behind Secchia Hall.
- Guest parking is available in Pay-to-Park spaces in the Winter Ave and Eberhard Center lots.

Curriculum Materials Library
The Curriculum Materials Library provides K-12 educational resources, services, and equipment for check out and use by Grand Valley State University faculty, students, and alumni.
Replenish
Replenish Basic Needs Center at Steelcase Library offers non-perishable food items and personal care products at no cost to any enrolled student.
Computer Lab 127A
DeVos 127A houses the Library's Classroom and computer lab. The lab is open for use as long as classes are not in session.
Knowledge Market
Peer Consultants work one-on-one or in small groups to develop your writing skills. Interested? Learn more about the Knowledge Market.

Check out materials, pick up items you have requested, and get help with your questions.
Spot, the ASRS
The circulating collection is housed in an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). Browsing is done using our online catalog, and books are retrieved automatically and are available for pickup at the Steelcase service desk.
Study Spaces
Reading Room
The beautiful reading room features a cathedral ceiling, stained glass windows, comfortable chairs, and work tables. In addition to periodicals and reference books, the Reading Room also has a large selection of current popular reading books, from novels to non-fiction.
Collaboration Zone
Meet for a group project or visit the Knowledge Market, where students can get help with projects from highly-trained peers. Open whenever Building A is open.
Group Study Rooms
Three semi-private group study rooms, available to reserve in advance. Rooms 111A and 113A have a computer, projector, and laptop hookups. Room 109A has a whiteboard, but no technology.

Restrooms
- Single-gender restrooms are located at the north end of DeVos Building A at DEV 121A and 123A.
- A single-stall, accessible gender-inclusive restroom is located just north of the Collaboration Zone and DEV 117A in Building A. This restroom also has a baby-changing station.
Wellness Rooms
- A Nursing Mother's Room is located at DEV 119A, just north of the Collaboration Zone in Building A.
- The Kauffman Interfaith Reflection Room is located at DEV 130B in Building B.
Technology
- Computer stations in the library and in nearby computer labs: DEV 127A, 203A, 204A, 205A, 210A.
- A Macintosh computer lab upstairs from the library in DEV 211A
- A copier/scanner in the library, with a print room in the Collaboration Zone.
- Laptops, chargers, and graphic calculators available for check out.
- Podcasting and video equipment available from the Digital Creator Lab

Circulating Collections
Steelcase Library houses collections in the fields of Business, Law, Social Work, Public and Nonprofit Administration, Engineering, Education, and Criminal Justice.
Johnson Collection
The Dorothy A. Johnson Collection for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Collection is Michigan's only comprehensive library on the subjects of philanthropy and volunteerism.
Popular Reading
Steelcase Library hosts a rotating collection of current fiction and non-fiction books, curated by Schuler Books of Grand Rapids. You can browse the collection in the Steelcase Reading Room, or online through the library catalog.
Find Collections at Steelcase
Popular Reading, Reference Materials, Johnson Center Collection, and Periodicals are shelved in the Reading Room.
Circulating Books are housed in the ASRS, and requested through the online library catalog.
