The Middle East Studies program is pleased to host Dr. Courtney Jean Freer for a public talk as part of the Michigan Model Arab League.

 

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 11:30 - 1:00, Dr. Freer will discuss her research on the role of religion in oil-wealthy Arab Gulf nations. Dr. Freer is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at Emory University’s Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies.

 

This program is offered with support from the Frederik Meijer Honors College, Modern Languages and Literatures Department, and the William C. Baum Endowment Fund.
