Description
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 101 - Demystifying Patents, Trademarks, Trade Secrets, and Copyrights
What is the difference between patents, trademarks and copyrights? What type of technology is patentable? When can I use the '®' symbol? What does "patent pending" actually mean?
These questions, and many more, will be answered in this presentation geared toward inventors, entrepreneurs and creators. We will provide a high-altitude review of Intellectual Property law as it relates to:
- Patents
- Trademarks
- Trade Secrets
- Copyrights
with the aim to provide you with a basic understanding of what IP is, how IP works, and how to apply IP to your business strategy and branding. Ample time for Q&A will follow.
Presented by Erin Klug, Patent & Trademark Attorney
