EarthEcho Water Challenge Ambassadors Needed

The EarthEcho Water Challenge Ambassadors annually unites up to 20 young environmental leaders ages 14-22 from across the United States. This unique experience trains and equips student leaders to conduct ongoing water monitoring efforts in their communities, allows Ambassadors to collaborate with and learn from a network of young people passionate about protecting local waterways, and empowers participants to lead events to educate their communities about the importance of waterway conservation utilizing the EarthEcho Water Challenge.

MSU Extension Community Food Systems - Cabin Fever Webinars

As we all practice social distancing and simultaneously get excited about spring, now is the time to readjust our sails and embrace virtual learning. “Cabin Fever Conversations” is focused on lighthearted, but educational conversations about gardening. There will be one featured guest per session who has some exciting specialty like seeds, houseplants, pollinator health, etc. Bring some questions of your own because there will be time for them at the end. We will be using Zoom for these conversations. More details about how to use Zoom and join the session are below. Each session will be under one hour. Take a break from your cabin fever and join!

Save the Earth K-2nd Grade Student Challenge

ORISE is hosting a student challenge just for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade! Earth Day is April 22! How are you planning on celebrating? ORISE wants to know what you can do to save the earth! Would you recycle? Water plants? Turn off electricity? Throw trash away? You tell us! Write a story and draw a picture telling us what you would do to save the earth! You may use the template provided to write and draw your story. TWO prizes will be awarded!

To enter the contest, complete the form at https://orausurvey.orau.org/n/AprilK2.aspx and attach your file. Make sure you include your parent or guardian’s contact information so we can get their permission to post your file on our website. The deadline to submit is 8 p.m. EST on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
