Educators, students, and parents are invited to attend the March 10, 2020, Western Michigan Chapter of the American Foundry Society Student Night at Muskegon Community College's Sturrus Technology Center to view the Applied Technology Program and tour of the Sturrus Technology Center. Schools do not have to have a metal casting program to participate. Tour groups will be limited to approximately 10 to 20 people. School groups may have more than one group, but the tour sites may be different for each group. There is a minimum of one chaperone per group of students.

Starting times for tours:

     1:00 p.m. (2) tour option

     2:30 p.m. (1) tour option

     4:00 p.m.  Tour of the Sturrus Technology Center

Dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Sturrus Technology Center in the Experiential Learning Classroom (Room 125).  During the meeting members of the AFS Board of Directors will give out scholarships.  The meeting agenda will include a presentation of opportunities available in the Cast Metals industry as well as available scholarships.  Also, presentations concerning internships, apprenticeships, business and industrial training opportunities and the Western Michigan Chapter’s website will be available. Raffle prizes and door prizes will be given out.

Schools should reply no later than March 2, 2020 to arrange and confirm the tour assignments.
