Study of basic performance skills on ukulele and percussion designed for the general student. Students will engage in discussion about the role of community music making in today’s society. This course presents an overview of how rock music has evolved from the latter half of the 20th century through current musical representations. Additionally, it is expected that students will learn the ways in which rock music of the past and present represents social commentary and has influenced societal change.
