Undergraduate research and scholarship is situated at the nexus of teaching and scholarship for GVSU Faculty. The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship is committed to providing faculty with the tools and resources needed to guide and mentor undergraduate students in their research, scholarship, and creative work.
Institutional - Enhanced Membership
Grand Valley State University (GVSU) has an enhanced institutional membership with the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). This membership allows any faculty member, student or staff member from GVSU to join CUR at no cost to the individual.

The scholarship of pedagogy, student development, and mentorship provides an invaluable resource to faculty who are interested in developing meaningful collaborations with student researchers, performers, and artists. OURS has provided a selected list of bibliographic references for faculty use.
The Academic and Professional Enrichment Fund (APEF) provides travel funds to support student travel to academic conferences and meetings coordinated by a faculty sponsor. Although this grant supports student travel, it is coordinated by a faculty member who accompanies students to an academic conference, meeting, exhibit, or performance.
The Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence (CSCE) demonstrates leadership by promoting a culture of active scholarship. The Center promotes innovation and enterprise, facilitates collaborations, and serves as an advocate for faculty scholarship.
The Human Research Review Committee (HRRC) has shared their policies and procedures.
