Craig Greenman is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Grand Valley State University. Previously, he was Professor of Philosophy at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire. He teaches periodically at King’s College in Kathmandu, Nepal, and has taught at Purdue University, Northern Illinois University, and Oakton Community College.
His publications in philosophy include Expression and Survival: An Aesthetic Approach to the Problem of Suicide and articles in the Journal of Social Philosophy and Writing on the Edge. His forthcoming manuscript is called “Believe Everything: Philosophical Dialogues,” in which he takes René Descartes’ skeptical method and turns it on its head.
Dr. Greenman’s short stories have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Walker Percy Prize in Short Fiction, and his poetry is included in a number of journals. His songs have been heard on television and radio, and his short films have appeared in festivals in the United States and India.
He grew up in Jackson, Michigan, and holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago.
