Making your tuition payments through Western Union is perfectly acceptable, but it can be costly if not done correctly. Follow the steps below to avoid being overcharged.

• Go to the Western Union student payment portal.
• Choose your country.
• Enter the amount you need to pay for Housing, Student Accounts, or both.
• Select "Get A Quote".
• A quote page will then open and give you 1-3 options.
• Choose the option that converts your currency to USD, rather than paying with USD.

Western Union makes its money converting your currency and will charge you a $20 fee for not using that option. This is unnecessary and adds up over time.
