Sheila Garcia
Sheila Garcia graduated magna cum laude from GVSU in 2014 with an international relations major and an East Asia studies minor. In 2017, Sheila obtained her Masters in Library and Information Science degree from Wayne State University and proceeded to complete a 2-year residency with the University of Michigan libraries. Sheila Garcia is an American Library Association 2016 Spectrum Scholar and a 2019 Emerging Leader. Currently, Sheila is the liaison librarian for the Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, and Hospitality and Tourism Management departments at Grand Valley State University. Sheila’s coursework in International Relations as an undergraduate has proved invaluable in her current role as information access becomes increasingly globalized.
