Jiri Aberle
In 2016, Jiri Aberle graduated from Grand Valley State University with a major in International Relations and a minor in German language. Jiri is eternally grateful for his time spent at GVSU, where he became a member of various student organizations, including as a goalie for the GVSU Men’s Ice Hockey team. Academically, Jiri credits his professors in the Political Science Department, who motivated him to think “outside of the box” and helped him when applying for graduate school in Europe. Jiri extends a special thank you to Kate Stoetzner from the Padnos International Center for her support and guidance during his four years at GVSU.
In 2018, Jiri received his master’s degree in Advanced International Studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna - Universität Wien. Jiri joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in 2020, where he currently works as a Diplomat in Belgium.
