PAUL B. HENRY CONGRESSIONAL INTERNSHIP
November 09, 2023
Every year the GVSU Department of Political Science runs the Henry
Internship
competition. The Henry Internship will place a GVSU
student -- the Henry Scholar -- in
the Washington, D.C. offices of
one of Michigan's Representatives or Senators during the
spring/summer 2024 academic session. Students may identify a Senator
or Representative
with whom they would like to work.
The Paul B. Henry Foundation pays a scholarship of $2,000 for
travel and living
expenses, and Henry Interns receive a tuition
waiver for up to 6 credits. The GVSU
Alumni Association's DC
Chapter adds a special dimension to the program through
mentorship
and support of GVSU interns.
ELIGIBILITY: Students must have completed a minimum of 55 credits
by the end of the
Winter 2024 semester and are expected to report
about their experiences to the GVSU
community during the 2024/25
academic year. Students who graduate in Winter 2024
semester are
not eligible.
