Professor Sheri Rogers Receives Pew Teaching Excellence Award

Each year, the Faculty Awards Convocation honors outstanding faculty members who display dedication and excellence in and out of the classroom. Professor Sheri Rogers, who has been a member of the Political Science department since 2016 and teaches American politics and international relations, earned the 2023 Pew Teaching Excellence Award for Adjunct Faculty for her ability to teach her students skills in order to help them become better global citizens.
As a Political Science Professor, Rogers was praised for handling difficult topics in her classroom in a civil manner that encourages growth and understanding among her students. According to the Political Science department chair "Sheri’s commitment to teaching excellence, to her students, and to the mission of Grand Valley is simply extraordinary and never wavers." Congratulations to Professor Rogers!
