Michigan Townships Association Robinson Scholarship available to students seeking a career in local government

Are you pursuing a career in local government? Are you a junior or senior? Could you use up to $1,000 to help fund your education? If so, you should apply for the Michigan Townships Association Robinson Scholarship by July 15.
The Michigan Townships Association offers its annual Robert R. Robinson Memorial Scholarship to students pursuing a career in public administration. The deadline for the scholarship application is July 15.
The scholarship, up to $1,000, is available to a junior, senior or graduate student in a Michigan college or university pursuing a career in public administration, public affairs management or some other field closely related to local government administration.
As MTA’s second executive director, Robert R. Robinson was dedicated to townships and to furthering the form of government closest to the people. By creating the Robinson Scholarship is his name, MTA aims to ensure continued support of young people working toward higher education, who will help shape the future, and support the values and protect township government along with the Michigan residents it serves.
