political science classes. Kyle had stated
that his political science classes “helped advance his education
greatly and expanded his thinking." He furthered his interests
and skills in political science by working as a
research assistant
for two Political Science Department professors, Dr. John
Constantelos, and Dr. Whitt
Kilburn.
Currently, Kyle is working as a Research Analyst for the W.E. Upjohn
Institute for Employment Research.
He is responsible for
coordinating with a team that studies “place-based” economic
development
policies, such as college Promise programs, business
incentives, and workforce training programs. He is
also tasked
with studying policies that promote job creation and provide people
with valuable skills
needed to succeed in the workforce. According
to Kyle, "the experience I gained as a research assistant in the
Political Science Department has been
invaluable to my current position.”
