The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). The purpose of the SHRM is to aid its members in becoming more effective in the field through group projects and activities, publications, speakers, and employment assistance.
What skills are important to have working in this field? Decision making skills, communication skills (both written and oral), interpersonal skills, the ability to meet deadlines, the ability to work independently or as a team are important skills to strive for while working in this field.
Possible Employers – Large corporations may have an employee working solely on choosing the best applicants within their HR departments. If not, a more general HR position may need to be searched for (recruitment and selection or talent acquisition).
