Professor Luke Galen won the Outstanding Faculty Member Award
"In my five years of college, Luke Galen is one of the most consistently helpful and approachable professors I have met. He cares about his students and obviously wants them to succeed. Nowhere is that made clearer than his research lab. He has worked alongside students for fifteen years, providing them with opportunities to gain research skills, go to conferences, and gain publishing experience. He is always willing to walk students through funding options, go over any post-graduation materials such as personal statements, and set up additional learning opportunities such as mock interviews. He gives students the tools to be successful after graduation and does it without recognition or expectation of reward. It is clear that for him, the best form of reward he could receive for the time and help he gives his students is to see them flourish."
