GVSU mourns the loss of Jacqueline Vansen

Jacqueline Jean Vansen, 51, passed away at her home in Canadian Lakes on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 12th from 2-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (between 13-14 Mile Rd.), Royal Oak, MI.
Funeral Mass Friday, 11 a.m., at Gesu Catholic Church, 17180 Oak Drive, Detroit, MI. Visitation at Church begins at 10 a.m.
Jackie began her employment in September 1988 as a Graphic Artist in WGVU/WGVK-TV; her title changed to Creative Director in July 1996. In May 2001, she moved to University Communications as the Art and Design Manager and then to University Marketing in July 2002. Jackie’s title was changed to Creative Services Manager in August 2009. She retired from the university in October 2015.
