Math in Action - Save the Date and Call for Presenters
Saturday, February 22, 2025
What is Math in Action? Our conference presents lively and informative discussions of current issues in Pre-K to 12 mathematics education. We provide opportunities for practicing teachers, prospective teachers, curriculum directors, and college and university faculty to share ideas, concerns, and resources.
Math in Action includes keynotes and hour-long sessions with multiple interactive presentations on specific mathematical topics. There is something for every grade level in each session.
Call for Presenters
Share your ideas! We welcome presentation proposals from everyone engaged in improving mathematics teaching and learning. For this year's conference, we especially encourage proposals that address one or more of the following:
How can we reignite the passion for teaching math? What innovations, tools, or ideas can make teacher's lives easier and get them excited about teaching?
Past presenters range from early-career, first-time speakers to nationally recognized experts. What do you have to share with our community?
We are planning to hold Math in Action 2025 as a hybrid conference, with the option to attend in-person at GVSU's Allendale Campus but also offer select sessions online via Zoom to remote participants.

Proposal deadline: Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
