Eileen Collins contacted author Jonathan Ward in April 2020 to help her write her memoirs about breaking the glass ceiling in aviation and spaceflight, Jonathan’s first question was, “Are you sure you want a male author working with you on this project?” In a prelude to Col. Collins’ talk later today, Jonathan will frankly discuss the challenges, revelations, and joys he experienced as a male author collaborating with one of the world’s most influential women on the story of her groundbreaking career.
Jonathan H. Ward is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, a NASA Solar System Ambassador, and a Resident Astronomer for Viking Ocean Cruises.
