Perseverance Through Adversity
This talk will cover how flight software is developed, tested, uplinked, and executed on the Mars Rover, and how the JPL flight software team persevered though a pandemic, forest fires, and other tribulations to successfully launch Perseverance to Mars. Included will be a high level overview of the spacecraft architecture and a summary of how telemetry and scientific data is managed. From an operations standpoint, we will look at a "Sol" in the life of a Mars Rover. There will be some little known "fun facts" about Perseverance and time for questions at the end.
