Education Designed for Our Growing Economy
Graduate programs at Seidman provide students with unique opportunities to attain the knowledge, understanding, practical experience and personal growth necessary to become successful business leaders in our thriving community, our state, or wherever opportunity may take them.
The Washington Campus
Every summer, Seidman graduate candidates have the option to travel to Washington, D.C. where they join graduate students from a consortium of esteemed universities from across the U.S. for The Washington Campus Program. Founded by the late L. William Seidman, former FDIC Chairman and long-standing Grand Valley State benefactor, this program gives students an opportunity to examine the process and issues of federal public policy and how individuals and corporations can ethically and effectively impact public policy.
Our Legacy
LEADERSHIP IN BUSINESS, COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION
Seidman College of Business was named in honor of nationally recognized business and civic leader, economist and philanthropist, Frank Edward Seidman. A distinguished member of the Grand Rapids business community for more than 50 years, his remarkable competence and qualities of leadership were reflected in the many honors bestowed upon him, and in his many achievements for the betterment of our community. Established as an embodiment of the philosophy, ideas and spirit of Frank Seidman, the Seidman College of Business continues to uphold his high ideals by providing an education in business administration of the highest quality.
The ideals, aspirations and determination of Frank Seidman lived on in his son, L. William (Bill) Seidman, who would one day come to be known as the father of Grand Valley State University.
