Student Organization Success Program
All student organizations can use the program to help make their group better, stronger and more successful! The Student Org Success Program outlines three key areas for member development, organization operations, and community engagement.
Recognizing Student Organizations
The Student Org Success Program is a rewards program for student organizations to help groups reach their full potential. This program is created and managed by the Office of Student Life with collaborative efforts from Student Services across campus. Student organizations will have different requirements to reach the different sectors of rewards. We will be working to consistently add new rewards to different levels.
Requirements you complete one semester impacts what rewards you get the following semester.
Student Org Success Program sectors will be recorded and posted within this webpage, while being tracked by the Office of Student Life staff.
The Student Org Success Program is a resource designed to help student organizations pursue excellence with transparent and attainable expectations. Within the program there are requirements for attending workshops. These workshops identify outcomes for member development, organization operations and community engagement that can be used by any organization. Student org leaders can identify where they want to grow, then use a Student Organization Success Coach to assist them.
Use of the Program is highly encouraged and all organizations must meet the Recognized sector to be considered an active organization at GVSU. Organizations who choose to use the Student Org Success Program may find they are better prepared to recruit and retain members, engage in collaborations, effectively transition leadership as well as be eligible to apply for Student Life Awards or other recognition opportunities.
Student Organization Success Coaches are the peer leaders who can help you navigate using the Student Org Success Program and can consult with you about operating a successul organization. Connect with a Coach to create a plan for strengthening your organization.
