Happy Homecoming week, Lakers! From October 25-30, the Campus Activities Board is hosting tons of activities across campus so students can show their spirit and Anchor Up. This week is filled with great ways to show your Laker pride, all concluding with the football game. Keep reading to discover how you can show your Laker pride during homecoming week!
Dress up to anchor up on October 29 through 31. Throughout the weekend, post pictures of your Halloween costume on Facebook using #GVSUCostumeContest2021. Post your photos by 5 p.m. on October 31 for the chance to be one of the three winners selected by the Campus Activities Board.
2. Spa Night
If you’re stressed by school, why not take a break and treat yourself to a spa night? On Friday, October 29, come to Kirkhof room 2263 from 5-8 p.m. to relax and enjoy some crafts, painting, and succulents. RSVP on LakerLink so you don’t miss a minute of some well-needed pampering.
No Homecoming is complete without a Homecoming Regent! On Saturday’s football game during the first quarter, winners will be announced on the field. Voting closes on October 29, so make sure you vote for who you want to represent Grand Valley at the football game!
Homecoming week concludes with an exciting football game at Lubbers Stadium at 3 p.m. The Lakers are up against the Michigan Tech Huskies, and it’s bound to be an action-packed game. Dress in your best Laker attire to cheer on our team! Students’ admission to the games is free with a student ID and completed self-assessment, and anyone else wanting to buy tickets can purchase them on the GVSU Athletics website or at the gate.
