An assortment of Thanksgiving related items including a sign that says "Lakers Give Thanks."

Study Abroad. An 8-2 football team. An on-campus Starbucks. There’s so much on campus to be thankful for! Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for our friends, family, and our Grand Valley community.

Cook Carillon Tower

We are thankful for the mighty Cook Carillon Tower, the perfect place for GV-themed Instagram photos. The 10-story tower of red brick beauty is located in the center of campus right outside of Kirkhof Center. Nothing fills us with Laker pride like hearing those melodious chimes while walking to class.

Unlimited Dining at Fresh

We are thankful for Fresh Food Company. All it takes is one swipe to access a food wonderland where you can eat as much as you want. Whether you’re in the mood for a salad, pizza, soup, or even all three, Fresh has you covered. Besides, isn’t Thanksgiving about counting your blessings, not your calories?

New Bus Stops

We are thankful for the new Laker Line that will make transportation around campus even more enjoyable. Gone are the days when you would stand in the pouring rain while waiting for the bus. Grand Valley’s new covered bus stops are only the beginning of the GVSU bus revolution! We are so grateful for reduced travel time, on-bus wifi, and the many other features of the Laker Line that are coming soon!

Louie the Laker

We are thankful for the GV icon that represents true Laker pride. No one cares for GVSU students like Louie the Laker, and if you find him on campus, he’ll always be down for a selfie.

These are just some of our many Grand Valley blessings. What makes YOU thankful to be a Laker? Make sure to spend time with the people you are grateful for this holiday season and have a happy Thanksgiving!
