Academic Advice
- Allied Health Science students have a wealth of study abroad opportunities, ranging from coursework in the sciences or electives to immersion in clinical settings. The ideal case for most students would be to do a study experience during the school year to enable a four-year graduation and/or a summer experience interning abroad.
- The earliest you can go abroad is the summer of your first year.
- Students may fulfill General Education Foundation and Issues requirements abroad
- Students taking at least 3 credits abroad will fulfill their Global Perspectives requirement
- Courses will be reviewed on a case by case basis through the course equivalency process.
- Courses NOT eligible for Study Abroad equivalences: AHS 301, AHS 321, and AHS 495
To determine the GVSU course equivalencies for courses taken abroad, please visit our Course Approval page.
