Social Studies Abroad
Studying abroad offers social studies students the chance to explore the social world in a new context. Visiting historic sites, experiencing different political systems, living like the locals, or using different currency all help social studies students experience the world in which we live and reflect more on their own lives. Social studies students could also do a portion of their teacher apprenticeship or stduent internship in in a study abroad program. The possibilities are endless.
