2024 Teach-In Poster Proposal Submission
Teach-In posters are supported by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS).
Posters will be displayed all day at the Kirkhof Center in the Grand River Room with a special session from 5:30pm-7pm for presenters to be available to discuss their posters.
Teach-In poster submissions are made using the form below. We particularly solicit collaborative student/faculty/staff/community teams that involve educational frameworks for opening dialogues on inequality, systems of oppression, social justice and liberation. We especially encourage topical contributions with an intersectional framework (considering interconnections of racism, classism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, xenophobia, etc.), and posters that integrate faculty, staff, and students as co-creators.
Primary guidelines for Teach-In poster submission:
- Poster Presentation Teams must have at least two members (more is very welcome and common), at least one of whom must be a faculty or staff member.
- We also encourage local community members as co-presenters.
- Abstract approval will be contingent on fitting with the mission of the Teach-In, as well as clarity of writing and use of inclusive language.
- See this Student Scholars Day website for guidance on preparing posters
Submission Deadline: Sunday , October 20, 2024
Finding Co-Presenters
Our hope is that students, faculty, and staff can find ways to connect around topics of interest. That said, we know there are occasions when a person wants to present, but cannot find a partner. Should this be you, please email us at [email protected] and we will do our best to assist.
