Jewelry and Metalsmithing Student Receives Competitive Scholarship by the Enamelist Society

Jennifer Ochoa, Art and Design BFA, Studio Art(Metalsmithing), has been awarded a scholarship to the Enamelist Society Biennial Conference Alchemy4 this summer at Arrowmount School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. The competition will be held on August 2-9, 2017.
Ochoa's received the award after submitting her information to a national competition. Her monetary prize will now cover the conference registration fee and the fee to attend one workshop. Jennifer is the first GVSU Jewelry/Metalsmithing student to receive this honor.
The 2017 Conference, titled Alchemy4, brings to its attendees a series of events every two years. From keynote speakers to breakout sessions and a Lifetime Achievement Award distribution, Ochoa will be able to benefit from this creative work dissemination venue and learn from many experts in her field.
