Graphic Design Alum combines his studio art skills into an employment opportunity
August 02, 2017
When Jake Luettke, Art and Design BFA graduate (Graphic Design 2017) enrolled at GVSU, he enrolled in classes that allowed him to experiment in many creative venues other than his own major. In his four years, he took courses in Printmaking, Drawing, Metalsmithing all outside of his major.
This cross pollination between classes built Luettke's skillset as a Graphic Designer. His robust portfolio of design works was also responsible for landing him an entry position as a Graphic Designer at Stuller Inc. The company, located in Lafayette LA, is one of the largest jewelry manufacturers in the world. Jake is now responsible for the design of catalogs, brochures and other print materials to market products from tools to diamonds.
