Andrew Steiner was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and earned a BA in English from Calvin University in 2011. After completing his degree, he worked in nonprofit communications in the Grand Rapids area and spent several growing seasons as a farmhand in Allendale. In 2020, he began studying at the Iowa Writers' Workshop, earning his MFA in Creative Writing in 2022. He has taught English and writing courses at the University of Iowa, Victoria University of Wellington, and Juniata College in Pennsylvania. His fiction has been published in EPOCH, Grain Magazine, Palooka, Pithead Chapel, and Narrative, where an excerpt from his master's thesis, the novel Let This Remain, was a 2022 Fall Story Contest winner. He is represented by Kristi Murray of The Wylie Agency.
