Jennifer Kierzek has been part of the Writing Department since she began her teaching career at Grand Valley in 2002. Initially joining as an adjunct instructor, she brought her expertise to a variety of departments, including History, Communication, English, Liberal Studies, and Writing. Her passion for teaching and commitment to student success led to her promotion in 2008 to Affiliate Professor in the Writing Department. In 2017, she further advanced to the role of Senior Affiliate Professor. Jennifer specializes in teaching all First-Year Writing courses, including WRT 120, WRT 130, and WRT 150. Additionally, she shares her knowledge through WRT 381 during the summer semesters. With over two decades of experience, Jennifer continues to inspire and guide students through the foundational stages of their academic writing journeys.
