Rori Meyer began teaching first-year composition at Georgia College and State University in 2012. A former Lake Michigan Writing Project scholar, she also works with Lansing Community College in their High School Advantage Program, and is a member of CAFAC (CLAS Affiliate Faculty Advisory Committee) at GVSU. Her passions include student-autonomy in writing and learning how to give the most effective feedback to students. In fall 2023 she presented with her Faculty Learning Community at the Lilly Conference on best practices for student belonging and inclusion. As a GVSU alum, she’s thrilled to be working for a school that prioritizes student learning and critical thinking. When not teaching, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and doing puzzles.
