Tamara Lubic has taught Grand Valley courses in first-year writing and writing in the disciplines. Prior to this, she worked in corporate communications (public relations , marketing, and internal communications), most of it in healthcare organizations. Her master’s work examined the relationship between medicine and the press during the Progressive Era, including the role of JAMA in shaping public attitude toward allopathic and homeopathic physicians. She received a Michigan Press Association Award for a feature on assisted reproductive technology and remains perennially interested in medicine and healthcare. Tamara enjoys helping students see connections between their writing and peer collaboration now and in their prospective careers. Away from work she enjoys “up north,” nature, and concerts of many kinds.
